So back in September ( I am THAT far behind on posts ) I went to one of the longest running weekly Transgender parties in the Tri-State area, Amandas Hideaway aka The Pleasure Lounge which is located in Hackensack NJ ( 5 mins outside New York City ) Amandas has alot of history and is a place where gals have gone for years. I could tell I was going to be in for a real treat, and this was going to be a whole new experience and Adventure for sure.
Pre-game is on…laughing, joking. drinking strange AC/DC beer.
Game time and I step out the hotel looking like a 5 dollar hoar in my boots, and short shorts to walk ONLY feet to the bar. I got to meet Amanda as well , a crossdresser,the owner, it turns out she is a DJ too, so we geeked out on all our favorite record shops in New York.. Speaking of music, the musical playlist kinda stuck around the 70’s…..Donna Summer, Heavy Disco, Led Zeppelin, even Black Sabbath and the more I drank…the further I slipped into my childhood memories of when I was afraid of the Son Of Sam, and Reggie Jackson was my hero….

It was that kinda place…and now I see why gals go there… There is a bar, a pool table, and room to dance. Thats the spot you can get your freak on, yet keep it off the radar. A few more minutes there and I may have been going home with one of the many the admirers ….but seriously…it was alot of fun. If you are just starting going out in public as a crossdresser, are in the closet, or looking for a quick over nighter get away , Amandas is the spot to do all of that and has been a welcoming staple in the community for years It is something you should experience at least once.
